Speaking positively is one of the quickest ways to tap into your successful self. The positive words you speak have a big impact on your life.
I was talking to a friend reminiscing about a block party we went to many years ago in the neighborhood I grew up. When we arrived, we learned that there would be a raffle drawing and the prize was $100. I entered the drawing and told everyone that I was going to win. I remember talking about the fact that I was going to win the whole day. I didn’t feel that I really needed the money, I was just having fun telling people I was going to win. Well, what ended up happening was that I won the 100 bucks! I had no thought or feeling of lack or need. That was when I realized the benefit of speaking positive and affirmatively.
In an effort to speak more positively, I started changing the way I said things. My favorite saying is what is replaced with the word “bills.” I realized that I was given a privilege to enjoy no and pay later. So, I started referring to my bills as privileges to be reimbursed. I changed many words that didn’t make me feel good when I said them.
I challenge you to speak positively. Think about what you are saying when you speak. When you are talking about something, pay attention to how you are feeling. Is what you are saying helpful to or hurtful to you or someone else? There is a positive and negative way to speak. Choose to speak positively! Speaking in a positive way can only benefit you and others.
